  1. The San Diego Gas and Electric Plan seems to be modeled after a similar plan being used in Riverside & San Bernardino Counties by Southern California Edison (SCE) Company since 2002. It has only been implemented a few times since 2002 and the community has generally supported the actions.

  2. Thanks for the great visual. SDG&E has raced to the bottom in their quest for profit over people. The San Diego City Council members who voted for this plan on Monday split the baby — while they voted FOR the plan, they voted AGAINST the Rule 14 Tariff Change, part of the Application to the CPUC and which shifts liability for a shut-off from the company to the ratepayers. As the City is suing SDG&E over the 2007 Firestorm fires SDG&E’s lines ignited, I guess they wanted it both ways. But this Application to the CPUC, if it is approved, will not allow for such niceties and SDG&E will be the winner over the rest of us. Thanks a lot Ms. Emerald and Mr. Hueso-Running-for-Assembly.
