A little commentary about San Diego Gas and Electric’s plan to shut off the power for up to 150,000 people during periods of high fire danger.

The San Diego Gas and Electric Plan seems to be modeled after a similar plan being used in Riverside & San Bernardino Counties by Southern California Edison (SCE) Company since 2002. It has only been implemented a few times since 2002 and the community has generally supported the actions.
Thanks for the great visual. SDG&E has raced to the bottom in their quest for profit over people. The San Diego City Council members who voted for this plan on Monday split the baby — while they voted FOR the plan, they voted AGAINST the Rule 14 Tariff Change, part of the Application to the CPUC and which shifts liability for a shut-off from the company to the ratepayers. As the City is suing SDG&E over the 2007 Firestorm fires SDG&E’s lines ignited, I guess they wanted it both ways. But this Application to the CPUC, if it is approved, will not allow for such niceties and SDG&E will be the winner over the rest of us. Thanks a lot Ms. Emerald and Mr. Hueso-Running-for-Assembly.
Well hello, Lob.Nice wright up you did on "Resource Typing", the other day, and I don’t see how you could have "offended anyone"… every thing you said seemed true to me.Yeah, I’m a member there, and I believe we’ve talked in the chat room a few times; always interesting to here you’re view point! Not much going on here in Montana: R-1.Take care,OCR
