Helitack firefighters dancing

Helitack firefighters with a lot of time on their hands have made another video.

Update March 31, 2010:
The video has been removed by YouTube. As it says there:

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Christopher Teter BLM/Forest Service.

Copyright claim, huh? 🙂

And, just in case even the cover shot disappears from YouTube, here is a screen grab:

UPDATE: March 5, 2010

Casey let us know that the video has reappeared on LiveLeak. We are embedding it here for your viewing pleasure.

I like the shot of the Sky Crane dipping in the background, surrounded by mist. You can judge for yourself which version of Poker Face you like better. This one, or Lady Gaga’s. Thankfully, the firefighters were not dressed like the people in Lady Gaga’s video.

  1. You all have got to be kidding me!! These guys spend all freaking day waiting for something to happen and they tried to spend some time doing something that they enjoyed and probably brought their crew closer together. Heaven for bid they do something to help the 14 hour long days go by when they have to sit in the sun all day. You talk about wasting money? Do you know what they pay these guys? Obviously you know nothing about USFS and fire fighting. Good job guys!!!

  2. Good to see our tax dollars at work in the slow years. This ought to help some Senator cut our aviation budget.

I hope they practice their safety as well as their singing and acting skills!

  3. I’m not sure what the point of the video was, besides that they had too much time on their hands. But being an old guy in their eyes perhaps I just don’t understand current culture.

Where is my pack of cards and a copy of War and Peace?
