Monitoring Ignition Component and Probability of Ignition in Ponderosa pine

Yesterday two firefighters in Montana distributed an advisory, suggesting that firefighters monitor the Ignition Component and the Probability of Ignition when fighting fire in beetle-killed Ponderosa pine. It was written by Rocky Infanger, Chief of the Wolf Creek and Craig Fire Service Area, and Everett M. “Sonny” Stiger, a Fire Behavior Analyst.
