After growing up in the south, he migrated to southern California where he lived for 20 years, working as a wildland firefighter. 1. I found this website to be very helpful in tracking the progression of the Bastrop/Smithville, Texas fire. I live outside of Smithville and the maps on this site were very helpful. Thank you.

  2. THANKS FOR THE SINGLE MOST COMPREHENSIVE AND INFORMATIVE SITE FOUND TO DATE ON THE BASTROP FIRES. WHAT I WOULD APPRECIATE IS AN EXPLANATION OF THE VARIOUS COLORED CIRCLES, I AM ASSUMING CIRCLES WITH CROSS HATCHES ARE CONTAINED FIRES, CIRCLES WITH RED ARE ACTIVE FIRES UNCONTAINED AND ORANGE IS FIRES STILL WITH POTENTIAL TO FLAREUP.THOUGH PARTIALLY CONTAINED.
MR GABBERT YOU HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB!
