  1. Far too often we hear about volunteer and career firefighters starting fires As some other states have done, a “sentencing enhancement” should be levied for violating the public trust.

  2. I see that a Neptune Aviation BAe-146 is fighting the fire near Boise, I haven`t seen very much video or feedback on how the new plane is doing ?

    • Joe just my own opinion as one who is familiar with the business, what I have seen with the
drop patterns of the 146-it looks good especially for a pressurized system…may have
      a winner there…

  3. Can anyone tell me why the 747 Supertanker hasn’t been used? Shouldn’t all
available resources be used? Treasure Valley is choking under a smoke cloud!

  4. I can not confirm nor deny any rumor about Evergreen

BUT I could venture a GUESS that maybe with the contracts they can get elsewhere and not having to deal with the silliness of the last 2-5 years of “studies and decisionmaking” for the mix of airtankers for the “toolbox”….that they have gotten some more lucrative overseas cargo hauls and firefighting capability for the Mediterranean (sp) and others that JUST MAYBE they do not want or need to deal with the Circus…if you know what I mean

Probably the other factors of the Fred Fuchs and others issues in the 1990′s that it better not to mix business with pleasure.

After that little fiasco……it’s better to have pleasure overseas contracting rather than all the vagueness of other Agencies using aircraft for the clowniing around of the 1990′s.

I could be wrong. But I would also bet folks ought to be watching what happens IF Mr Hatton closes his doors with Tanker10LLC for the lack of exclusive use contracts due to an Agency wanting to do things on the cheap.

The ’10 proved itself this year and Evergreen’s ’47 is proving itself elsewhere…….too bad for th US LMA’s

Oh and the the possibilities of 1910? Well, the Agencies have already spelled that out for us all with the “management” of the resource and the airtanker program already!!!!
