Happy National Coffee Day

So what are you doing to celebrate National Coffee Day?

Yep, that’s what today is. It’s a real thing. So real, in fact, that some businesses are actually giving away coffee on this very special day — for example Krispy Kreme, McDonalds, Caribou Coffee, and Dunn Brothers. Not all chain locations are participating, so ask first.

And another reason to enjoy your cup of coffee today; researchers this year found that java drinkers who average several cups per day had the lowest risk of death during the study.

I’m going to enjoy this cup and then watch some football. What are you doing today?

  1. everyday is “coffee day” for me! as for what I’m doing while I’m flying around on my caffeine buzz?? working on my equipment to get ready for next fire season! (or maybe even another fire this year!)

    • Coffee the elixir of life for firefighters of all stripes. From the vile brew of the shop pot
to the flaccid tea water of the tanker base office. To the questionable type in the commissary truck percolator it is all good when you need it.
      Thanks..

  2. The best cup ever was that c-ration coffee heated in a canteen cup over a chunk of C-4 in a fox hole after a night of incomming fire from charlie.Vile but so welcome.
