Red Flag Warnings and Fire Weather Watches for enhanced wildfire danger have been issued by the National Weather Service for areas in Washington, Oregon, and Wyoming.

  1. Not being familiar with the US weather and fire behaviour prediction system… I have to ask… how is it that fire behaviour forecasts align precisely with the boundaries of a particular state? As in, Wyoming has a red flag warning but it stops dead at the Colorado and Utah border.
