Red Flag Warnings - June 9, 2014

The Red Flag Warning map has an unusual patterns to it today. Normally we don’t see as many relatively small areas scattered around the country.

Warnings for elevated wildfire danger have been issued by the National Weather Service for areas in Nevada, Utah, Arizona, California, Washington, and Montana.

The Red Flag Warning map was current as of 11:45 a.m. MDT on Monday. Red Flag Warnings can change throughout the day as the National Weather Service offices around the country update and revise their forecasts. For the most current data, visit this NWS site.

  1. We have been all over Nevada this week and you are right that the past few days we saw LOW to HIGH in change of signs over in this state. I have seen LOW in one area that should say high and HIGH in areas that should not—odd.

We love Bill Gabbert’s Website—he has the firefighter gospel coming in—garbage out.
Keep up the awesome dedication you give this page and we will keep talking to people how Yarnell Hill Fire changed our lives and how important it is not to expect the firefighter community and smokejumpers to save homes—

it begins with all of us; do your defensible space today!

    smiles.
