Red Flag Warning, August 4, 2014

Fire weather forecasters have issued a Red Flag Warning valid from 11 a.m. Monday until 2 a.m. Tuesday, PDT, for “abundant lightning” in northern California and some areas in Oregon. Significant rainfall is expected with some of the thunderstorms.

A Fire Weather Watch is in effect from late Monday night through Tuesday evening.

The Red Flag Warning map was current as of 8 p.m. MDT on Sunday. Red Flag Warnings can change throughout the day as the National Weather Service offices around the country update and revise their forecasts. For the most current data visit this NWS site.
