With all of the March fires in multiple states (including here at home in Montana), I surprised that NIFC/NICC is still only doing a weekly Sit Report.
Time to pay attention to conditions, not calendars.
Very good point. I have always felt that the agencies should base their planning on what they see out the window not what they see on the calendar.
Are a few early local fires really a national concern? I doubt resources are being stretched to where planning at the national level needs to start taking place. Better fire up the MAC Group.
