  1. Everglades and Big Cypress used them for a number of years. In operating them one had to be very aware of people on the ground due to limited visibility and noise. Left long lasting scars, track marks on the land. Poor suspension so the operator would get very sore. Usually used them to matt down grass and brush and have the people on the ground behind follow up with the booster hose. The operator had a short hose and nozzle with them as a protection line. Running the machine was a full time job so not much time to devote to spraying water.

  2. Does any one know what the model of the tracked unit is ? It looks like a snow cat (groomer) to me.

    1. The reporter identified it as a Bombardier, or BOMB BARRR DEE AAAA, produced in Canada. The very nice soft tracked vehicle is used widely by USFWS.

    2. Bombardier Muskeg is the model we use, also have Nodwell Soft Tracks or Gotracks, and 1 CamoPlast Trooper
