  1. I love how BLM HR casts a wide net for recruiting firefighting jobs, but only allows for people within the local commuting area for their HR jobs in Lakewood CO. This totally negates how imperative it is for firefighters in order to maintain safety for their crews must have strong local knowledge of the district, local influences on fire behavior, and strong working relations with local fire departments. By the way, the presence of these local fire departments dictate how many suppression modules the BLM will staff in those areas as the BLM counts them as a resource

    1. I listen only to my wild bird friends tweeting. That’s where tweeting ends as far as I’m concerned! As for the image though, it made me smile, too. A good day! They aren’t grundged out. Probably not any serious line-building/action but they’re on a lightning strike just the same. The air is fresh, moist, cool and fragrant with the burn and adjacent green. Maybe they’ll roll to another strike before shift-end. Or maybe overtime is looming just beyond that rainbow. What a life. What a pleasure! LR
