Google's 2-hour outage

Most of us use Google for searching the Internet. Some of us use it for email, calendar services, maps, and even on-line word processing. So what do we do if all of that goes down with no warning?

Yesterday it happened, beginning at 7:58 a.m. PT, when Google screwed up and routed traffic through an Asian network that could not handle the load. One or two hours later they figured it out and fixed it.
