From FirePirates.comThe Fire Pirates site has a unique story about how a lead plane and an air tanker helped to rescue some animals that took refuge on a cliff from the Guiberson fire, northwest of Los Angeles about a week ago. When I saw one of the pictures taken from a distance (not the one here) I at first assumed the critters were mountain goats, because I had never seen any other large animals on such a steep slope. But they were horses.
