Sometimes the rescuers need to be rescued. Here are some photos uploaded to Flicker by the Los Angeles Fire Department. Apparently Battalion 2’s vehicle became entrapped in a mudflow on January 18, 2010 and had to be extracted by a heavy rescue vehicle from their fire department.

Having been in a similiar situation years ago as a passenger
its not a event you want to happen, then have it filmed. It
never hurts to test the waters first with boots and a long stick and advoid becoming part of the problem. Hopefully nothing was hurt besides pride and a lesson learned. I see a trip to the boss’s office…
