Tim Vrieling took some excellent photos of the McKinley fire, which burned about 900 acres near Corona, California on Thursday. Here is a sample. (Update: fixed the link to the photos.)

  1. Have you ever seen recommendations for the best exposure lengths, ISO, etc for wildland fire? I have taken plenty of photos over the years. Some turn out well, others not so well. Are there any rules of thumb?
