The artillery attack launched by North Korea on Yeonpyeong Island killed two marines and destroyed scores of houses, but it also started wildfires that have burned 70 percent of the forests and fields on the island. At least 20 fire trucks and 80 firefighters were deployed to the island to suppress the fires. I hope they are receiving hazard duty pay.
