  1. Smoke blew across eastern NC heavily today; winds from the east or northeast are pretty rare here.

    And of course “the best laid plans of mice and men” … The ‘controlled’ burn out jumped the lines and has burned another couple of thousand of acres on the northwestern corner. They’re trying to tie it to other roads out there.
