New leadership at the IAWF

IAWFThe International Association of Wildland Fire has several new members on their leadership team. Chuck Bushey, who has been volunteering his time for the organization in various capacities since at least the mid-90s, has term-limited out as President. Chuck helped the organization advance in many ways while serving as a member of the Board of Directors, Treasurer, and President. Dan Bailey is the new President.

We are pleased to announce some changes within the Board of Directors for the IAWF. Dan Bailey has been elected as the new IAWF President. Dan is Executive Director for National and International programs dealing with Wildland Fire, Natural Resource, Environmental and Natural Hazard Programs for the International Code Council™. Dan has been a board member since 2007.

David Moore is the new IAWF Treasurer, Dave is chief of the Glendale, Ohio Fire Department. Dave has been a board member since 2010.

Thomas Zimmerman has been selected as the newest IAWF board member. Tom has recently retired from the Wildland Fire Management RD&A, US Forest Service where he was the Program Manager.

Congratulations to Dan, Dave and Tom. We appreciate your service to the association.

Chuck Bushey’s term has ended as the IAWF President. Chuck has been the association president since 2007. Chuck has been instrumental in keeping the association moving forward and initiating many new projects over the past 5 years. Chuck’s leadership will be missed although he plans to stay involved as an IAWF member.

Thank you for all of you hard work and dedication Chuck. We wish you the very best in this New Year.
