CNN story on prescribed fire in Florida

CNN did a story about how the Nature Conservancy, “non-intuitively”, uses prescribed fire to maintain and rejuvenate pine forests in Florida.

In the piece, the reporter is allowed to operate a drip torch, which is a sure way of getting someone hooked.

  1. Thanks for the good words Kraig. Joe, you’re right-on…..it’s just taken for granted how our agencies collaborate all the time down here getting fire on the ground, and I heard positive comments from the CNN film crew about “all of the different crews working together.”

  2. I was there during this burn it was great to finally show how it’s possible for all agencys to work together and accomplish a common goal and that is to protect the land and wildlife.
