Enjoy a Hot Toddy on a cold night

We are continuing our annual tradition of reminding you how to make an excellent winter cocktail that is especially enjoyable around the holidays.

Hot Toddy

There really is a beverage called a “hot toddy”. And, except for you folks in the tropics (damn you!), this time of the year a hot drink on a cold night hits the spot.

    1. Sure, Scott. Simply substitute ice for the sugar, cloves, cinnamon, lemon, boiling water, and the nutmeg. And, you don’t have to let it sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to mingle. To summarize: bourbon + ice. Stir. Enjoy. 🙂

  1. I have had this before and it’s a great drink for around the fire with friends and family. I’m not sure how my South Florida friends will respond to it but will try this Friday at the solstice party we are attending. Thanks for reminding me of it.

  2. I may have to try this, probably better than the over-the-counter med I’ve been taking! Cheers to you, Bill. Thanks for keeping us in the know. Here’s to a happy and fire safe 2013.
