How to diagnose Wildland Firefighter Disease

Diagnosing Wildland Firefighter Disease

Seeing the wildfire preparedness graphic published by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) made me wonder how else the CDC could be involved in wildland fire. What about diagnosing and investigating a cure for Wildland Firefighter disease, a malady that affects hundreds of men and women each year. Once infected by the wildland fire bug, a cure can be difficult to find.

Not long ago I designated myself a Doctor, so why not take advantage of the new status, I thought, and at least figure out how to diagnose the disease.

UPDATE June 3, 2013:

Due to the interest this has received, we created this better version. All of the text is the same, it’s just more pleasing to the eye.

And, there is a way to get your own high-resolution print, either unframed at a reasonable cost, or framed. It would make a good birthday or Christmas gift.

  2. I LOVED this one. I’ve been wearing Red Wing boots for ten years. They’ve served me well, but I’ve just about worn all the cleats off the heels. Guess I’ll be getting a pair of Nick’s soon.
