A 360-foot long replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall is traveling across the country and is in Hot Springs, South Dakota this week. The display is an 80 percent scale version of the Washington, DC memorial honoring the military personnel that were killed during the Vietnam War.

It is scheduled to be at Centennial Park in Hot Springs through August 4.

  1. Too many of my classmates from both Forestry School and Artillery OCS have their names on that wall – let’s hope it makes the desired impact on future decision-makers, and another “Wall” is not needed!

  2. I for one, a alumni of that nasty little war, am glad to see it traveling around the country as a tribute to our veterans and a reminder that war is hell. Far too many people have forgotten that lesson in history including the administration that started the current war in Iraq. War’s are hugely expensive both in life and dollars and the ones spent down the road for decades to care for the injured.

    Thanks for posting it.
