Indiana Initial Attack Crew 1 is leaving for the Lodge Pole Fire on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 From Indianapolis Airport. Expect to be in Challis, Idaho on Wednesday. Good to see our friends from Maryland coming to help as well. Last worked with them in Virginia in 2011
Be careful out there. What agencies are you folks from in Indiana?
The 2013 RT-130 Refresher DVD has an excellent presentation on fire in the Salmon River country and the Cramer Fire fatalities. It should be “must see” before anyone heads to fire in that steep, nasty part of Idaho!
Thank you for sharing those amazing photos!
And Thank you for putting your lives on the line to fight fires. We really appreciate all you do! Safe travels home. We hope you can enjoy some time with family and friends!
Sincerely,
Phillip and the FoxFury Lighting Family:)
Headed to Lodgepole Fire Wednesday with a 20 man handcrew from Maryland. Hard charging firefighters on the way. We look forward to lending a hand to local firefighters. We will be enroute Wednesday or Thursday morning. Help is coming from Appalachia.
Mark – before you leave, call Bobby Hartlove and get his wisdom and experience on fighting fire in this country; he’s “been there, done that” and I’m sure will have some words of wisdom to offer! Be safe.
The pics are awesome! Thank you for all the hard work.
Safe return home.
My sweetie is on his way home right now, ready for some much needed days off. Thankful for his safe return!
Sweet photos, Pikers!!! saw that line you put in, major amount of work!
