The fire weather forecasters enlarged the Red Flag Warning areas at mid-day on Saturday to include much larger areas in Oregon where lightning is in the forecast for today. Lightning is also predicted for the east half of Washington. A fire weather watch area, shown in yellow, is in effect for northeastern California.
The Red Flag Warning map was current as of 4 p.m. MDT on Saturday. Red Flag Warnings can change throughout the day as the National Weather Service offices around the country update and revise their forecasts. For the most current data visit this site.
