Red Flag Warnings and fire weather watches have been issued for areas in Oregon, California, and Wyoming for Wednesday, September 3.
The map was current as of 8:30 a.m. MDT on Wednesday. Red Flag Warnings can change throughout the day as the National Weather Service offices around the country update and revise their forecasts. For the most current data visit this NWS site.
It is always interesting to see how red flag criteria and forecasters’ interpretations of the data change at state lines. While the NWS map above shows no elevated fire danger in Nebraska, the following map provided by the Nebraska Forest Service for the same date has a different outlook.
