When Smokey Bear is knee deep in snow and his hat has taken on a new shape, it could be a sign that the end of the wildland fire season is near. Or, is this a false alarm?

Hold on to your hat (literally). After tracking four decades of fire seasons Southern California and the week before Thanksgiving is a good guess that very strong winds (Santa Ana) will blow into down.
