Most Manitobans are aware of stubble burning – the controversial practice where farmers burn the stubble off their fields in the fall after harvest. Now in spring, many farmers are taking up a new practice: snow burning. They are literally burning the snow from their fields! They say it’s good farm practice, but environmentalists are worried about the impact.

Who says us Canucks don’t have a sense of humour??
Great one Bill. The fact of the matter is environmental nuts would actually attack this if it was real. I remember back when I was a boy and we use to burn crops towards the end of harvest season. I wonder where people think food comes from nowadays???
