Recently there has been articles and discussions on the use of long term retardant. If a picture is worth a thousand words here is another example of the TWENTY MINUTE RESPONSE window in a very remote area of California. Parkfield, Ca (Cal Fire) station is a long way from everything. The first assistance of any kind the Parkfield engine crew will receive is S2T tankers (Paso Robles/Hollister) and Cal Fire helitack crew (super huey) from Bear Valley, 28 miles south of Hollister, Ca.
