The National Weather Service has issued Red Flag Warnings and Fire Weather Watches for areas in South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. As usual, strong winds accompanied by low relative humidities are the culprit.
The areas in yellow on the map are for Fire Weather Watches on Sunday or Monday. The red areas, Red Flag Warnings, are for Saturday afternoon.
