  1. Didn’t notice any hose & these helicopters were very low. Thought they may be transporting more fire fighters.

  2. Smoke is terrible in Morganton from South Mtns. fires. I haven’t been seeing the water dropping helicopters or planes yesterday or today. There were large helicopters flying low yesterday but didn’t have water containers. Praying for rain !!

    1. A few of the very large helicopters with the two main rotors have internal water tanks. If they are actively working you can see the drafting hose dangling under the aircraft.
