  1. Still have the question: if the high intensity fires happened only after the put it out by 10 am policy, how did the fire ever get going during the Big Burn? Up until that time, there was no fire exclusion policy and yet the fire burned with more intensity than the fires today.

      You submitted a Straw Man Argument.

      No knowledgeable person is saying high intensity fires did not occur before the 10 am policy. Occasional high intensity fires were the REASON at the time for implementing the policy. In fact, a few vegetation types REQUIRE high-intensity stand-replacing fires.
