Estrellita Jimenez’s comments x2! The general public owes them all a huge THANK YOU!
One of the best ways to support these women and men is to call, write or email state and federal representatives to call for more comprehensive healthcare screening, recognition of smoke related health issues and of course more resources, especially real-time dissemination of information about fire behavior and crew locations. Also call for a national plan to increase wildland fire control funding at all levels rather than the budget cuts we are seeing now.
Don’t let them down!
HOW WONDERFUL FOR THE FIREFIGHTERS IN WASHINGTON TO THANK THE PUBLIC FOR THEIR SUPPORT! THE PUBLIC SHOULD BE THE ONE TO REALLY LAVISH THEM WITH LOTS OF APPRECIATION, RECOGNITION AND SUPPORT. THE SAME IS TRUE FOR ALL OTHER AREAS IN OUR COUNTRY THAT HAVE BEEN SERVED BY FIREFIGHTERS AS WELL AS FIRST RESPONDERS! THEY ARE OUR GUARDIAN ANGELS ON EARTH! GOD BLESS THEM, THEIR SPOUSES, CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN AND THEIR WHOLE GENERATION! I CANNOT HELP BUT APPRECIATE THEM FOR WHAT THEY DO – WITH ALL THEIR HEART AND STRENGTH!
