In this video, Matt Jolly, an ecologist at the U.S. Forest Service’s Rocky Mountain Research Station, talks about the natural and important role of fire in maintaining a healthy ecosystem. He explains that fire “is like giving the forest a bath”.

  1. And these “Fire Baths” are drowning the Rogue Valley baby these last two summers. This fraud known as “Let it Burn” must end NOW. Using fire for land management purposes in the height of fire season is the height of abuse. The prescribed burn plan for every acre of federal land, which replaces the thinning and management that timber used to do, is killing us.
