When the Tubbs Fire burned through Santa Rosa and Sonoma County, California in October 2017, it destroyed over 5,600 structures and burned almost 37,000 acres.
Photographer Kent Porter has documented some of the rebuilding efforts in Santa Rosa with photos taken soon after the fire and again recently.
Nearly two years after the #Tubbsfire plowed through Santa Rosa, #coffeyparkstrong is being rebuilt at a steady pace as are sections of Fountaingrove. @NorthBayNews pic.twitter.com/iCkThOXueZ

I AM SO GLAD THAT SANTA ROSA HAS BEEN REBUILDING – THAT CITY HAS BEEN MY SHOPPING MECCA WHEN I LIVED IN SONOMA CITY FOR 30 SOLID YEARS BEFORE I MOVED DOWN HERE IN GRAND TERRACE IN 2000! WHEN THERE’S A WILL, THERE’S A WAY! EVERYTHING TURNS INTO A BLESSING IN OUR LIVES! GOD KNOWS WHAT IS BEST FOR THE PEOPLE HE CREATED AND LOVES!
doesn’t look like they learned anything about structure to structure ignition on the surface perhaps they have up dated to modern building codes that you can’t see from the photos. But I doubt it.
