The forecast for near surface and vertically integrated wildfire smoke at 6 p.m. MDT June 11, 2020. NOAA.

Not only are the wildfires in Arizona and New Mexico putting a great deal of smoke into the atmosphere, but several large fires in Mexico east of Tijuana are also contributing.

  1. Thank you, Bill. Your dedication to reporting fires is an invaluable service. You are the sole reporter I know reporting on Tijuana, Baja California wildfires. I just attended a zoom emergency preparedness meeting and not one person there knows whereabouts of today’s fires south of the border. Would you please inform us? Web lost lives and over 100 homes in October firestorms, so this update on our area would be most appreciated.

  2. Bill,
I also wanted to thank you for posting. Great info! If possible, can you provide a link to the webpages you use?
    Thanks, Conor
