The National Weather Service has issued Red Flag Warnings for June 27 in areas of Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. Most of the areas will experience strong winds and low humidities, resulting in enhanced wildfire danger.
(Red Flag Warnings can be modified throughout the day as NWS offices around the country update and revise their weather forecasts.)
I hope the Forrest Services will close camp grounds and BLM land for camping. This is gonna bad for 4th July holiday crowd but with fireworks and possibly people making campfires it’s just common sense
Where the hell is the wind? I cancelled my trip to the lake tomorrow because of epic wind but there’s only a cool breeze this morning.
Hi Bill,
Where is the 747 Global SuperTanker??I can’t seem to find any news about it’s role in our Western
fires.
Thanks in advance
The last I heard a week or so ago it was at McClellan in California and appeared to be testing and/or training. It has not been used on a fire this year.
Its at McClellan in California for carding
