The Cedar Fire 15 miles south of Elko, Nevada has burned 6,000 acres and Tuesday night was being fought by 8 hand crews, 10 fire engines, 2 helicopters, and various air tankers for a total of 258 personnel. Satellites have not detected any large heat sources on the fire for about 24 hours.

Video of a Flash Flood, I think in Arizona.
I never thought of a Flash Flood as something that could conceivably start a fire.
This flash flood is carrying steaming pieces of hot wood downstream.
Hope it’s OK to post here. No connection to the Cedar Fire.
They deleted the audio because people were swearing.
I would be very surprised if burning material was in that water.
It’s the CDO behind my house and the “ steam “ is nothing more than dirt/ dust as it’s the first water entry in a couple of months.
