Three 20-person crews from Quebec, Canada arrived in Boise Wednesday September 2. They received a briefing orientation and participated in fire shelter deployment training. After a one-night rest in Boise, the crews will fly to Reno, Nevada and board ground transportation to their fire assignment on the North Complex in California — numerous lightning fires being managed as one incident on the Plumas National Forest.

Hopefully they are treated as well and warmly in the United States as my crew was when we went to British Columbia a few years ago. One of the best assignments of my 20+ year career. Thank you, Canada!
First A thank you to our U S of A cousins For helping with our British Columbia fires a few years ago. Glad we CanadianS are doing our part to help with your fires . There are no borders in a situation like this . My family experienced an evacuation due to fires and although our town was ok and we were away For three weeks we were very lucky. During times like this you learn what is really important. We have your back, stay safe . All the best!!!
Thank you to all your brave men and women for making your wonderful help to our fires in California. We have the upmost respect for all that you brave souls do. Stay safe and make it back home soon. God bless you all ?
Thank you ,Canada
Stay safe!
