The Corona Fire Department in California awarded the Medal of Valor to the four men of Brush 1, A-Shift for their heroic actions on November 15, 2008 during the Freeway Complex fire when they came to the aid Corona Engine 5 when they became entrapped. Brush 1, with Captain Chris Yoshioka, Charlie Apodaca, David Goodwin and Alex Giffin heard the distress call from Engine 5 and came to their rescue. Congratuations to the Brush 1 crew.
