Resetting your clocks to the exact, correct time

Twice a year when we go in and out of Daylight Savings Time here in the U.S., I figure that as long as I’m resetting about a half dozen clocks in my house plus a couple in my vehicles, I might as well set them to the exact time. I used to have an “atomic” clock that I carried around as I reset the clocks, which obtained the exact time from a radio signal, but that clock broke and I replaced it with another one that unfortunately does not display seconds. So I figured there must be a smart phone app that displays the exact time, and behold, there is.

My criteria was that the app must be free, simple to use, and displays the time to the second. The Global Time app does all that. It is only available for Android phones. I searched for something similar on the Apple app store, but had no luck.

Global Time obtains the exact time from GPS satellites and displays it to the second, continuously showing the current time even if you lose the GPS signal. That’s all it does, but is perfect for carrying around as you reset you clocks.

P.S. – Don’t forget to change the clocks in your camera(s).
