Red Flag Warning

Most of Alaska is under a Red Flag Warning today for gusty winds and low humidity. Winds in the Susitna Valley north of Anchorage are expected to be 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25, along with humidities of 14 to 20 percent.

The pointer on the map above shows the location of the Sockeye Fire that is causing evacuations near Willow.

The map above was current as of 1:15 p.m. MDT on Monday. Red Flag Warnings can change throughout the day as the National Weather Service offices around the country update and revise their forecasts and maps. For the most current data visit this NWS site or this NWS site.
