Photos of the Reservoir Road fire near Loveland, Colorado

While we were indisposed last week, Jill Reitsma sent us some photos of the Reservoir Road fire 4 miles west of Loveland, Colorado. The fire eventually burned 750 acres and as of  September 16 had cost $2,089,000 to suppress. Ms. Reitsma took the photos the day the fire started on September 12.

She told us in an email:

Here are pics from the very beginning of the fire. We were camping at Flatirons Reservoir. We saw the first plumes of smoke. I started snapping pics at 9:24AM on Sunday 9/12/2010. We got out of the campground around 11:00AM and then made our way to the Carter Lake Swim Beach. I discovered WildfireToday.com while watching the Fourmile Canyon Fire and thought you guys might be interested in these pics.
