The 18th International Wildland Fire Safety Summit and the 7th Human Dimensions of Wildland Fire Conference starts this week – but you can still join online.
Calgary, Canada is welcoming almost 400 delegates from 20 countries and 32 sponsors and exhibitors.
If you missed out on a place, tune in to the main sessions online from anywhere around the globe, The livestream is for the keynote and panel sessions, which are placed at the start and end of each of the three conference days.

Register once and you will be sent a link that will give you access to the sessions of your choice. You can choose to attend online for one or more of the sessions. No charge to register.
If you’re unable to attend the live stream, there’s no need to register just to access the recording— it will be available to everyone after the conference on the conference website.

The keynote speakers bring a breadth of wildfire knowledge and a depth of experience in wildfire communities around the world:
Dr Bhiamie Williamson is a Euahlayi man from north-west New South Wales in Australia and leads the National Indigenous Disaster Resilience program at Monash University that seeks to embed Indigenous leadership and knowledge in emergency management structures.
Bethany Hannah Hannah brings more than 25 years of wildfire experience in the United States and founded AWE (Wildfire International), a nonprofit dedicated to building global wildfire capacity through international training, local empowerment, and transformative leadership development.
Fabio Silva Silva is a forest fire analyst from Portugal with expertise as a technician in fire suppression and controlled burning.
