The accident occurred on highway 67 near Stephenville, Texas at 11 a.m. Friday when a Harbin Volunteer Fire Department brush engine driven by Erath County Commissioner Jim Pack struck the passenger side of the car, according to the Stephenville Empire-Tribune.
The fire department was first commissioned by Erath County in 2009.
Jewel is married to rodeo star Ty Murray, and they live on a ranch outside of Stephenville, Texas.
My friend Dick Mangan told me just yesterday:
Vehicle accidents were the 2nd leading cause of death for wildland firefighters between 1990 and 2009.
After a horrific accident involving the rollover of a ladder truck, the chief of the San Antonio Fire Department is holding his firefighters accountable.
