Abandoned mine shafts a danger to firefighters

In addition to all of the expected hazards that wildland firefighters are exposed to when they are putting out fires in remote areas, in Arizona they have to deal with abandoned mine shafts. According to the reporter in the video below, about every three years someone is killed when they fall into a mine shaft in Arizona.
