Thanks to Dr. Gabbert and photographer Joshua Trugillo for presenting and capturing these great emotional in some cases photos. The Cel Elum Fire is just one example of many fires that are burning throughout the Country west of the Mississippi. The NIFC “averages” appear to reflect many escaped initial attacks. As for the DC-10 photo banking 30-45 degrees (up tight shot)…. Borate Bulley!
That DC-10 impressed a friend of mine. He is on a Type ll crew. Called his wife when that big brute
flew by…
