The National Wildfire Coordinating Group has produced a four-minute video that they say summarizes the 2018 wildfire season.

  1. Can’t, and won’t, debate any of these issues . . . but, the approach to fire over the years has also change and has some impact of acres burned. For safety we are falling back, using a road, and burning out. . . on one recent fire, crews backed up 2 or 3 times, a total of 5 miles (which converts to many more acres).
