Wildfire in Chile destroys 60 homes
At least 60 homes were destroyed and 150 families were forced to evacuate when a wildfire burned near Valparaiso in Chile. The fire blackened about 60 hectares (148 acres) as air tankers and helicopters assisted firefighters on the ground.
Wildfires destroy 75 homes in Chile
Dozens of homes, at least 75 according to reports, have been destroyed in a wildfire in Valparaiso, Chile that started Thursday afternoon. About 600 residents were forced to evacuate in the Rodelillo and Los Placeres neighborhoods of the city. Some locals complained that the response from firefighters was slow and there was not an adequate amount of water available at fire hydrants.

Aerial firefighting in Chile
Here is a video of some excellent single engine air tanker work in Chile. The pilots appear to be very skilled, making very accurate drops. Almost all of the video was taken from the air. The sound track, all music, is very loud.
