The National Weather Service has issued Red Flag Warnings or Fire Weather Watches for areas in Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

The map was current at 8:15 a.m. MDT on Wednesday. Red Flag Warnings can change throughout the day as the National Weather Service offices around the country update and revise their forecasts.

Red Flag Warnings in 11 states, April 30, 2018

The National Weather Service has issued Red Flag Warnings or Fire Weather Watches for areas in Arizona, New Mexico, Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Illinois, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware.

The Red Flag Warning map was current at 8:50 a.m. MDT on Monday. Red Flag Warnings can change throughout the day as the National Weather Service offices around the country update and revise their forecasts.

Red Flag Warnings in 10 states, April 29,2018

The National Weather Service has issued Red Flag Warnings or Fire Weather Watches for areas in Arizona, New Mexico, Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, Minnesota, Iowa, Texas, and Wisconsin. Utah again miraculously avoids extreme fire weather.

The Red Flag Warning map was current at 11 a.m. MDT on Sunday. Red Flag Warnings can change throughout the day as the National Weather Service offices around the country update and revise their forecasts.

The National Weather Service has issued Red Flag Warnings or Fire Weather Watches for areas in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Montana, and North Dakota. The Watch locations in Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado are for enhanced wildfire danger on Sunday.

The Red Flag Warning map was current at 7:30 a.m. MDT on Saturday. Red Flag Warnings can change throughout the day as the National Weather Service offices around the country update and revise their forecasts.

The wildland fire danger on Tuesday is just that — dangerous. Weather forecasters are saying the strong winds, dry vegetation, and relative humidity that in some areas will drop into the single digits could be life-threatening fire weather. These extreme conditions, called “historic”, will continue into Tuesday night in most areas.

In the video below Deb Beard, the Trainee Incident Commander on the 67,000-acre 34 Complex of Fires in western Oklahoma, warned firefighters at the Tuesday morning briefing that “the fire behavior forecast should scare the hell out of you”.
